Three new songs – available now for free

We’ve been hard at work on our new album for a long time, so it’s nice to finally release some of the jams to the world! Here are “Riding Through the Jungle” and “Buttersaw,” available as free downloads! As a bonus, we’ve included Kid Infinity‘s incredible remix of “Jungle,” which Geoff has been performing live with the group all summer.

New video + interview with Geoff

This is our new video, directed by our friend Blaine Ludy. We can’t express how happy we are with it. Thanks Blaine!

In other news, I (Geoff) have a solo album called Princess that I just released on Vanity Projects. I did an interview with Mark Givens, of MungBeing magazine, to promote it. The interview includes an mp3 collection, including an old gem from back when Pizza! was called the New Motherfuckers. Check it out!

Pizza! at Part Time Punks on Sunday, October 18 – Also new video and press stuff.

Hello:

To celebrate our new and fancy loving friendship with Manimal Vinyl, who just put out some of our music digitally, we are playing at PART TIME PUNKS on Sunday, October 18.

It takes place at THE ECHO, 1822 Sunset Blvd. Playing with is Oakland’s Bare Wires. They seem pretty radical.

Things are going to be pretty excellent. Tyler bought a bunch of new drum stuff, so the percussion at the show ought to be pretty bombastic. He’s put a lot of work into the sound. Also – ALEX IS BACK!!! We played without him at Country Pizza! and at the Manimal Festival. While we had fun both times, he was sorely missed. But now he’s here!!! And with him, we’ll be playing the hits as well as new stuff that we’re recording for our next album.

Alex is back!

This has been a pretty good week for Pizza! We had a blast at the Manimal Festival in Joshua Tree. LA Record posted a video of us playing “Big Mammoth Skull” there. Honestly, though, we had far more fun hanging out after our show than we did actually playing. Swoon magazine posted a video that captures the spirit of the fest. It seems like their trip was a little bit harsher than ours, though. All in all, a very weird and fantastic weekend. I think we’re all very excited about being in the company of the musicians we saw last weekend. We have a lot to learn from them.

We got mentioned on a few blogs and the like this week, thanks to Manimal and our friend Tim. The Deli LA has a voting thing – if you have a moment, maybe vote for us as their artist of the month? It’s always nice to be considered for stuff like that.
